New users only. Here’s what you need to know before you sign up.
FIRST, LET’S TALK ABOUT THE SIGN-UP BONUS
A 10% return before you’ve made a single trade
Let’s put the headline number in context. A USD 5,000 deposit gets you USD 500 in free stocks. That’s a 10% return, instantly, before you’ve made a single investment decision.
To understand why that’s significant, consider what your alternatives look like right now:
- Singapore fixed deposits are paying around 1.0-2.0% per annum at most major banks. You’d need to lock up SGD$5,000 for a full year to earn roughly $50-$100 in interest.
- The Straits Times Index (STI) has returned an annualised return of around 6% over the last 10 years.
- Singapore Savings Bonds currently offers around 1.5–2% annually over a 10-year average.
The eToro promotion offers the equivalent of five to ten years of fixed deposit returns, credited to your account from day one. That’s the deal.
The USD 500 comes in the form of stocks in a real publicly listed company. Not cash, not points, not credit. You’re getting actual equity.
On top of the free stocks, from now to 11 June 2026, every deposit of USD 500 or more also enters you into a prize draw for an iPhone 17 Pro Max or AirPods Pro 3. The stocks are yours regardless, up to USD 500 depending on your deposit tier. The draw is a bonus on top.

THE FAIR QUESTION
“That sounds too good. What’s the catch?”
It’s the right question to ask. Here are the things worth knowing before you deposit:
This is a new users promotion only. If you already have an eToro account, you are not eligible. You also need to sign up and verify your account before depositing for the promotion to apply.
The free stocks are not instant cash. They’re credited as equity in a publicly listed company. Their value will move with the market. They could be worth more or less than $500 by the time you sell. That said, you’re receiving real stocks, not a promotional credit or trading rebates.
eToro does not support SGX-listed Singapore stocks. If your primary focus is local equities like DBS, OCBC, or Singtel, you’ll need a separate platform for those. eToro is built for global market access.
Currency conversion applies. eToro operates in USD. Depositing in SGD incurs a conversion fee of 0.75% or 128 PIPS/385 PIPS, depending on the payment method. For a USD5,000 deposit, factor this into your true cost of entry. It’s not hidden, but it’s real.
Those are the real considerations. None of them change the fundamental maths of the deal but they’re worth knowing upfront.
IS ETORO LEGIT?
Regulated by MAS. Listed on NASDAQ. 40 million users.
eToro holds a Capital Markets Services License and is regulated by MAS.
eToro is also publicly listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the ticker ETOR. That means audited financials, disclosure obligations, and the transparency requirements that come with being a public company.
Over 40 million users across 75 countries have opened accounts on eToro. It is one of the largest retail investing platforms in the world.
WHAT YOU’RE ACTUALLY SIGNING UP FOR
Global markets, a social investing community, ETFs at 0% commission
The promotion gets you through the door. Here’s what the platform actually offers once you’re in.
7,000+ assets across 25+ exchanges all via one account
eToro gives you access to over 7,000 global assets, US stocks, European equities, Asian markets, ETFs, indices, commodities, and forex, through a single account. No juggling multiple brokerages with different fee structures and different interfaces.
If you want to invest in NVIDIA, a clean energy ETF, and a Japanese industrial manufacturer from the same dashboard, eToro lets you do that.
The social feed: see what 40 million investors are actually doing
Most brokerages show you prices. eToro shows you people. Specifically, what 40 million of them are actually doing with their money right now.
eToro was built around the idea that investors do better when they learn from each other. The social feed puts you in a live stream of what 40 million people are actually doing with their money right now, not commentary, not analysis written for institutional audiences, but real portfolio moves from real investors with real money on the line.

You can follow investors whose strategy interests you, watch their trades unfold in real time, and read the reasoning behind each move. Search by asset class, region, or theme. See who’s been buying into AI infrastructure, rotating out of tech into commodities, or positioning ahead of a macro shift, and why.
Markets move fast. The AI boom didn’t just lift a handful of obvious tech names. It quietly shifted the fortunes of semiconductor suppliers, data centre infrastructure companies, and industrial manufacturers that most retail investors had never heard of. By the time those moves appeared in mainstream financial media, much of the run was already over.
The social feed puts you closer to where those conversations actually happen — not after the fact, but while they’re unfolding.
ETFs at zero commission
Opening an account is free. There are no management fees, no custody fees, and no inactivity fees. Here’s where costs actually come in:
Trading commissions: ETF trades are commission-free on eToro. Stock trades are priced at US$1 on most major exchanges, rising to US$2 for markets like Australia, Hong Kong, and Dubai. Over years of investing, those saved commissions add up to a meaningful difference in what you actually keep. There is however a fixed USD5 withdrawal fee, with a minimum withdrawal amount of USD30 from a USD Account.

Currency Conversion: eToro operates in USD. Depositing in SGD incurs a conversion fee that varies by payment method: 0.75% via online banking (roughly US$37.50 on a $5,000 deposit), or a PIP-based fee for card and bank transfers.
eToro Club Benefits: One thing that changes the fee picture significantly as your balance grows: eToro Club members get discounts on conversion fees. Silver and Gold members (from $5,000 and $10,000 respectively) get 20% off SGD to USD conversions via PayNow. Platinum and Platinum+ members get 40% off. Diamond members get 80% off. At higher balances, the conversion cost that stings most for Singapore investors becomes progressively less significant.
As your balance grows, so do the perks. eToro’s USD Cash+ programme pays 2.75% p.a. for most tiers, rising to 3.55% p.a. at Platinum+ and Diamond. Your idle cash earns something while you wait for the right opportunity.

THE FULL PROMOTION BREAKDOWN
Every tier, every prize – Lucky Draw closes 11 June 2026
Here is every deposit tier, what you receive in free stocks, and what you’re entered to win in the prize draw:
| First deposit (USD) | Free stocks | Prize draw | Prize |
|---|---|---|---|
| $200 – $499 | $10 | — | — |
| $500 – $1,999 | $30 | 1 entry | AirPods Pro 3 |
| $2,000 – $2,499 | $30 | 1 entry | iPhone 17 Pro Max |
| $2,500 – $4,999 | $200 | 1 entry | iPhone 17 Pro Max |

A few things from the terms worth highlighting:
- Free stocks and the prize draw are separate. You receive the stocks regardless of whether you win the draw.
- iPhone draw takes precedence. If your deposit qualifies you for the iPhone draw, you enter that draw only. Not the AirPods draw.
- Additional deposits count. Top-ups made during the campaign period can earn you more prize draw entries, up to the 5-entry maximum.
- You must verify your account first. Sign up, complete verification, then deposit. All three steps need to happen before 11 June 2026.
- New users only. Existing account holders are not eligible.
- Rewards are capped at $10,000. Depositing more than USD 10,000 earns the same USD 500 in stocks and a maximum of 5 draw entries.
THE BOTTOM LINE
The maths is simple. A USD 5,000 deposit gets you USD 500 back before your first trade. The platform is regulated, global, and used by 40 million people.
The deadline is real. If you’re going to do it, 11 June is the date.
